Must Do’s on a Girls Trip to Fredericksburg, Texas
Have a Bachelorette coming up? Planning a girls trip? Or just need a get away to the Texas Hill Country? I’m here to give you my favorite ways to have the best trip to Fredericksburg!
Fredericksburg Itinerary
Where to Stay
My first tip to a great time in Fredericksburg is to find an Airbnb close to Main Street. There are so many great options within 5 minutes of downtown Fredericksburg which make your stay more comfortable than a hotel and very convenient. On one of my most recent trips me and my girlfriends stayed at the Liebe Hutte (The Love Shack) and it was perfect! I would suggest opting for a place that has a hot tub because the best way to end a day of drinking wine is in the hot tub! It is also nice to have an Airbnb with a small kitchen because there are a lot of times throughout the weekend you’ll want a snack and those are hard to come by when staying at a hotel.
Day One
Now time to go over what I believe to be is the best itinerary! By this time you will have already texted the girls group message, picked out your outfits and rented your Airbnb. Now it’s time to hit the road. I would suggest trying to get to Fredericksburg by 11am so your group can walk around Main St. and enjoy the downtown. I usually pack a cooler with groceries to make something for breakfast (I like to do a breakfast casserole and mimosas), charcuterie board items, a couple frozen pizzas, alcohol of choice and your favorite snacks!
The first stop once you get to Fredericksburg is Texas Wine Cellars for one of their famous Frozen Peach Bellini’s. Take a look around the store, grab your group a drink and head out to the next stop (and the great thing is you can take your drink out of the store and walk around Main St. with it)!
My next stop is always Felt Boutique Custom Hats. This Boutique has supper cute clothes and accessories but the stand out attraction is their Hat Bar. Pick out your hat and then add custom accessories or even get it branded! They customize everything from cowboy hats to trucker hats so your opportunities are endless.
After you’ve picked out your custom hat, head over to one of my favorite bars on Main St., Brookes Bubble Bar. I would suggest making a reservation because it can get pretty crowded but the ambiance is to die for. Everything is pink and champagne themed and the music is all girly pop hits. Grab a frozen cocktail or a glass of champagne and enjoy the atmosphere with your girls! Get all of your Instagram worthy photos in, but dinner the first night is early so give yourself enough time to go home and get ready. On your way out, don’t forget to take pictures in front of the pink car!
Night One
It is now time to check into your Airbnb and get ready for dinner! Unpack your groceries, take a look around your home for the weekend and settle in. For dinner I always suggest Crossroads Saloon and Steakhouse. Their food is delicious, they have great local wines and there is an attached saloon that has live music! When you eat dinner here, you don’t have to pay a cover to get in to the saloon. I usually make the dinner reservation for 6-6:30 so there is enough time to enjoy dinner and then get a good spot in the saloon.
When you’re done with dinner, head over to the saloon and settle in for the night. My go to drinks are the key lime pie martini (if in season) and for the group I love to get the party started with a round of Skrewball shots (they taste like peanut butter!!). Spend a couple hours enjoying your girlfriends company and dancing to the live music before heading home for the night.
Day Two
Good morning! Wake up, grab some coffee and a mimosa, and start making breakfast! Make sure you are hydrating this morning because today is all about the wineries. While breakfast is cooking do your hair and makeup and put on your cutest wine tasting outfits (I suggest something pink or colorful!).
I always book a limo/party bus through Brookes Bubble Bus which can pick you up from your Airbnb, takes you to three different wineries and then drops you back off at your Airbnb. This is my favorite way to do wine tastings because you don’t have to worry about driving, she only takes you to the best wineries and the limo’s and drivers are adorable! I suggest booking the 10:30am tour so you can beat the crowds and try to beat the heat. Once your group is ready, finish breakfast, take some pictures with your girls and be on the look out for your diver!
I always suggest bringing some alcohol (usually champagne) in the limo because they have ice buckets and you can leave it in the limo when you are at the wineries. You have a little over an hour at each winery so enjoy the tastings, buy a couple bottles if you’d like and make sure you get in those photo sessions! **Disclaimer: I have a photo of Fat Ass Ranch and Winery but this was not part of the tour and I don’t think it is a needed stop.** After your three stops, head home and throw together your charcuterie board. This is the perfect time to debrief from the day and change into your night time outfits!
Night Two
After refueling from the day, head over to the only speakeasy in Fredericksburg, Salvation Spirits. When you make a reservation they will send you the gate code, but keep it a secret ;). This speakeasy has a super cool atmosphere and delicious cocktails. My favorite was the Beet the Heat but they were all amazing. Spend a couple hours here chatting with your girls and trying the various cocktails before heading back to the Airbnb.
When you get home, throw a frozen pizza in the oven and change into your swimsuit because it’s time to get into the hot tub! It’s your last night in Fredericksburg so make it count! Grab your champagne, your girlfriends and your gossip because the best way to end the trip is under the stars in the hot tub. Quick reminder that Fredericksburg has a noise ordinance from 10pm-7am so make sure your group is mindful of their noise at night.
Day three
The last day has finally come 🙁 Drink some coffee, pack up your belongings and make sure your Airbnb is clean and left how the host request. The last day can really be what you make it, but I have two final stops I like to make. The first is having brunch at Hill & Vine. This family owned and operated restaurant has a super cute interior and the food is delicious. Hill & Vine would also be a great place to have brunch on your first day depending on your timeline. Spend some time here with your group and make sure you try the watermelon and green tomato salad!
My final stop would be at Luckenbach. It’s famous for being a country music venue, but during the day its a great place to hangout outside and grab a drink. Check to see if there is live music when you’re going because the artist are always fantastic!
That’s All!
And just like that, you’ve had the best weekend in the Texas hill country! You’ve been able to hangout with your girlfriends, tasted some delicious wine and made memories you will never forget. I hope this itinerary was helpful, but if you have any questions feel free to Contact Me!
